What is As-Sabiqoon { 
} ?
As-Sabiqoon is described by the Qur'an as those who are foremost in the dunya. They push the deen (religion) forward in every aspect, and likewise they are the foremost in the akhira (the hereafter). Foremost in receiving ajr (reward) and the best of abodes.
Despite having a large and willing population of Muslims, being the cultural, financial and political center of the Western World, New York unfortunately does not have the presence of the AlMaghrib Institute. In sha Allah, Bi-idhnillah, our organization, As-Sabiqoon will strive for the best by advancing the deen in New York City.
Our current project is to try to bring AlMaghrib Institute to New York. The ayat in the Qu'ran that states:
"The Foremost will be Foremost (in the Hereafter) - Those nearest to Allah - Most of them being from the Early Generations - and a few from the last generations."
This is a promise Allah (swt) has made! He has said the foremost are mostly from the early generations, the Sahaba & the Tab'ieen and so forth. But, he has included later generations within their group! Let us all make the intentions to be from those who will be foremost from the later generations! If you are willing to aim for the status of the Sahaba, if you are up for the challenge, then come and start your journey with As-Sabiqoon...The Foremost in New York!
